Overview

SOSi is currently seeking an Automotive Maintenance Manager for the supervision and management of the automotive maintenance department on the O&M contract in Soto Cano, Honduras.

Essential Job Duties

• Manages Non-Tactical Vehicle (NTV) maintenance operations and personnel within the Honduras AOR. 

• Manages operations in a shop environment, coordinates resources to ensure availability of skilled personnel to provide required services.

• Manages the Equipment Maintenance team providing Fleet Maintenance activities including Construction Equipment, Light Motor Vehicles, and Power Generation.

• Develop ECOD's monitors expenses, opens work orders, and manages warranty claims and reimbursement for safety recalls as necessary.

• Assists in investigations regarding equipment performance and operator errors when accidents occur. Train technicians reducing diagnosis time and ensuring proper repairs.

• Update software and technical publications.

• Diagnose, estimate, and repair cars, trucks, equipment and provide quality control.

• Utilize advanced diagnostic computer equipment/software in the analysis, diagnosis, repair of gasoline and diesel engines and their relate subsystems/components.

• Diagnose, inspect, and repair air conditioning and heating (HVAC) problems on manual and automatic systems.

• Diagnose and repair system malfunctions, including drivability and electrical concerns.

• Utilize advanced diagnostic computer equipment/software in the analysis, diagnosis, repair of gasoline and diesel engines and their relate subsystems/components.

• Specialize in the repair of fuel injection, ignition systems, drivability problems, and all phases of automotive repairs.

• Attend necessary classes in order to excel in diagnosing and repairing all of the fleet models.

• Understanding of Electric Vehicle diagnosis, maintenance, and repair.

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to obtain/maintain DOD Public Trust.

• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certified desired, but sufficient work experience to satisfy the certification requirements will be acceptable.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management.

• Must be able to function in an office setting, answer the phone, use office equipment, etc.

• Must be able to endure extreme climate conditions and be able to work in an outdoor setting.

• Must possess strong management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master ASE Techniciancertified.

• Prefer Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university but not required. Can be substituted for Experience in Maintenance Management.

• Fluency in Spanish is desirable, but not required.

• Willingness to live and work under environmental and other conditions that may be uncomfortable or hazardous at times.

• This position requires skills such as walking, running, climbing, crawling, and jumping and other similar physical activities.

• Requires periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends when necessary.

• Fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
