USG Corporation Controls Technician - Southard in Southard, Oklahoma

_ _ _ _ _ _ Duties: 1. This position is located at the Southard, Oklahoma manufacturing plant. 2. Understand digital drive systems, PLC, and Process Controllers, sensors, actuators, power supplies, and wiring devices. 3. Skills to troubleshoot equipment issues as related to the controls/programming aspects of the equipment. 4. Provide assistance within identified projects to assess and document the current control environment Support modifications to achieve control and automation improvements throughout the plant. 5. Responsible for the documentation, implementation, startup and ongoing technical support of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) programming in an industrial automation environment. 6. Position is responsible for the selection, recommendation, installation, and training of new process control technologies; and the investigation of new developments in the field for possible implementation. 7. Design & prepare specifications, calculations, single line diagram definition.

Qualifications: 1. Working knowledge with the engineering, programming, and implementation of industrial control systems. 2. Proven experience with control systems components, ladder logic programming, HMI programming and their applications. 3. Aptitude for instrumentation and controls design as well as PLC/HMI preferred experience (Allen Bradley, Workshop, Ti-Soft, RSLogix (500 & 5,000), and WonderWare). 4.Computer experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and AutoCAD. 5 Ability to troubleshoot and install electrical circuits up to 480V. 6. Self-starter, with the ability to collaborate across plant departments.
