The Opportunity

Location: 100% remote (with onsite Auction visits) but must be located in Chicago, IL - will have a small amount of travel as this person will have oversight responsibilities for Manheim Chicago and Greater Milwaukee Auto Auctions.

As a Supervisor, you'll spend your day guiding your team, ensuring procedures are followed and serving as a liaison between the customer, dealerships, vendors and financial institutions. What is Remarketing? Here at Ally we prepare and manage the inventory of Ally's U.S. pre-owned retail and lease-return vehicles, which includes: Vehicle Return Management, Transportation Logistics, Inspection - Title Coordination, Online and Physical Auction Sales, Direct-to-Dealer Sales, Direct-to-Customer Sales. Visit www.ally.com to learn more. The purpose of this position is to provide quality and efficient customer service by performing administrative duties related to the remarketing of vehicle returns. This position works with other team members to ensure that the daily workload of the center is completed.

The Work Itself

  • Assist in managing the remarketing activities at each auction, remarketing and storage location.
  • Create and nurture relationships with dealership and divisional contacts.
  • Assist in developing methods to minimize the expenses related to the disposal of vehicles.
  • Select, train and develop remarketing analysts.
  • Select locations for remarketing activities and manage the relationship between those locations and Ally.

The Skills You Bring

  • Associate / Bachelor's degree in business related discipline preferred.
  • 4 + years in customer service or financial services industry is preferred.
  • Prior leadership experience is preferred.
  • Auction experience may be used as a proxy for education.
  • Project management skills and ability to effectively prioritize tasks.
  • Strong decision making and demonstrated leadership ability.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
  • Knowledge of used vehicle market and distribution systems.
  • Strong analytical ability.

Base Pay Range:

Emerging: 65000

Experienced: 90000

Expert: 115000

Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan
