We are seeking a skilled and reliable individual to join our team as a Traffic Control and Pavement Making Laborer. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance and construction of roadways, ensuring the safety of workers and the public during roadwork, and contributing to the creation of high-quality pavement markings.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the setup and implementation of traffic control measures to ensure the safety of workers and motorists in and around construction zones.
• Direct traffic flow using hand signals, signs, and other designated traffic control devices.
• Operate equipment such as traffic cones, barricades, and flashing lights to control traffic patterns effectively.
• Assist in the application of pavement markings, including lines, symbols, and signage, according to project specifications.
• Prepare worksites by clearing debris, setting up equipment, and ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
• Perform routine maintenance on traffic control and pavement marking equipment.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site.
• May perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor in charge.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in traffic control or pavement marking is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
• A valid Missouri Class E License (Class A CDL is preferred).
• Willingness to undergo training and certification as required.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
