We invite you to become an integral part of our Product Support team as a Field Mechanic. In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and longevity of a diverse range of heavy equipment. This includes rock drills, rock crushers, excavators, haul trucks, and more. Hours & Pay: - \$30-\$45/hour depending on experience and technical expertise. - Additional \$10/hour differential pay on for weekend work (Saturdays and Sundays). - Overtime when work is available. - Per diem: \$40.00 per day when staying at a company paid hotel. - Generous benefits package including per diem, insurance, 401k with matching, paid time off and more. Job Requirements: - 4 years of directly related experience in heavy equipment repair, preferably in a heavy industrial environment with or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. - Associate degree from a fully accredited college or technical/vocational school in Diesel Technology or other closely related field preferred. - Pre-employment drug test and physical. - Wants to be a part of company with a culture that values doing the right thing, we before me, and inspiring what is possible. - Effective communication skills to interact clearly and professionally with team members, customers, and product support personnel. - Problem solving skills to analyze and resolve equipment malfunctions efficiently. - Adaptable; to handle diverse equipment challenges and quickly adjust to changing priorities. - Strong attention to detail and thoroughly inspects and repairs equipment to ensure high- quality work. Job Duties: - Travel to and from customer sites to perform maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment in the field. - Communicate professionally and positively with customers, and product support personnel to questions or requests for technical support, troubleshooting and repair assistance. - Analyze and diagnoses equipment malfunctions. - Repair, replaces or rebuilds engines, transmissions, fuel systems, final drives, steering clutches, cross-shafts, hydraulic components including pumps, motors, valves, and all related components, electrical and air systems. - Write service reports that accurately document diagnosis and repairs performed. - Possess basic computer knowledge to use service software required in position. - Prepare required documentation including work orders, parts lists, and timecards in an accurate and timely manner. - Maintain company vehicle cleanliness and in proper working order. - Follow manufacturer and company service guidelines and procedures to ensure quality work and to preserve and document component failure information for accurate failure analysis. - Performs other duties as necessary and as determined by leadership team.
