Robert Half Controller in St Cloud, Minnesota

Description

We are looking for a Controller to join our team in St. Cloud, Minnesota. This role is integral to our team's function, requiring the individual to oversee the daily operations of our accounting team, provide leadership and direction, and ensure the distribution of timely and accurate financial reports. Additionally, this role will require the management of annual budgets and forecasts, account analysis, and general ledger reconciliation.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the daily operations of the Accounting team, providing leadership, direction, and motivation.

• Act as the main point of contact for day-to-day activities, answering team member questions regarding business finances.

• Monitor and adjust workloads, delegate new projects as needed.

• Validate and monitor team performance, provide feedback and positive corrective action as needed.

• Develop and maintain internal processes focused on continuous improvement.

• Ensure distribution of timely and accurate financial reports and revenue details.

• Manage the production of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts.

• Perform account analysis and general ledger reconciliation to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Participate in quarterly business review and present financial reports.

• Act as the point of contact for internal and external audits.

• Review and approve Requests for Funds (RFF) for client projects.

• Assist in the monthly client invoice process for revenue maximization.

• Create and organize financial reports as requested.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required.

• Professional qualification such as CFA/CPA or similar is a plus.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills are necessary.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

• Strong analytical and strategic planning skills are essential.

• Must have a solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.

• Should be skilled in Financial Reporting.
