Sales Account Rep I

Location: Must be within 50 miles of St. Louis, MO; Position is hybrid with both office/remote expectations.

Compensation: Base Salary + Sales Incentive Plan

The Sales Account Rep I is responsible for supporting one or more Strategic Account Consultant's book of business with the goal of retention of the local groups through exceptional customer service delivery.

Typical group size is 100+ eligible or enrolled subscribers, but can range from 51+ to 5,000+.

How you will make an impact:

  • Conducts meetings with group employees who have a choice of carriers and promote, sell, persuade and influence associates to enroll in our products.

  • ​Advises clients on designing specific benefit plans that will best suit the client's needs.

  • Directs and coordinates benefit design issues and modifications with Operations and Membership Implementation staff in support of client needs. Analyzes client needs and develop, design and recommend or implement product improvements or additions to increase sales.

  • Acts as primary point of contact for member claim escalations from intake to resolution, navigating across a matrix organization for support.

  • Sells, promotes, and influences companies or clients to add additional products or services to the existing account (up sell).

  • Acts on behalf of Strategic Account Consultant to respond to client escalations or benefit plan design questions, as needed.

  • Responsible for projects outside the department on matters of significance with the authority to represent the department.

  • Develops relationships with existing accounts, members and brokers and responds to inquiries.

  • Works across multiple software solutions to navigate related tasks.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 1 year of related experience or an approved Sales internship; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Missouri Health and Life Insurance license required.

PREFERRED SKILLS, CAPABILITIES AND EXPERIENCES:

  • Insurance background preferred.

  • Experience working in SalesForce
