BlueOval SK Maintenance Team Manager in Stanton, Tennessee

Ford and SK On are investing billions in Kentucky and Tennessee including building three state-of-the art battery manufacturing facilities between the two campuses at BlueOval City in Tennessee and BlueOval SK Battery Park in Kentucky. These brand-new advanced manufacturing facilities will use Ford’s 100-years of automobile manufacturing expertise and SK On’s 30+ years of electric vehicle battery expertise to become the world’s best battery manufacturer.

The Maintenance Team Manager at BlueOval SK Battery Park in Stanton, Tennessee will have a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a key member of the start-up team, launching the facility from ground up . The BlueOval SK Maintenance Team Manager will lead the maintenance team within the Battery site in Stanton, TN in line with the facility Production System.

Key Responsibilities

This role will be responsible for leading a team of hourly and salaried employees at the facility including, but not limited to:

  • Ensure site grounds and parking lot maintenance, including landscaping and snow removal

  • Support preventative maintenance programs for facilities

  • Comply with master licensing and site permit requirements

  • Implement and maintain Visual Factory across all site plant engineering equipment

  • Coordinate safe bulk unloads

  • Ensure compliance with environmental requirements, including waste management, recycling, and wastewater treatment

  • Comply with combustion safety and arc flash training and reporting requirements

  • Manage mechanical/civil engineering projects

Minimum Qualifications and Key Experiences

  • Education: High School diploma, some post-secondary (college or skilled trades)

  • 1-2 years of Maintenance, operations, and technical experience

  • Technical work experience and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment and the ability to interface with plant hourly, salary, and leadership.

Preferred Qualifications and Key Experiences

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree

  • Fine (5) years of operations experience in a leadership role

  • Manufacturing experience including automotive (assembly a plus)

  • Six Sigma Blackbelt

  • Background in Lean Manufacturing

  • Experience with Greenfield / Startup Sites

Additional Information

Travel is expected throughout 2023 along with future relocation to Kentucky.
