The Department of Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics at Syracuse

University is seeking Part-Time Instructor(s) to teach Arabic II – ARB 102, 4-

credit section(s) and Arabic IV – ARB 202, 3-credit section(s) in the Spring

2024 semester, which begins January 16, 2024 (appointment begins on

January 9, 2024). Offer is contingent upon sufficient enrollment. The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined based on their per-credit-rate-history within the hiring department.

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS:

Arabic II – ARB 102

Continuing proficiency-based course which develops communicative

abilities in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in culturally authentic

contexts. Activities are conducted in French.

Arabic IV – ARB 202

Continued proficiency-based Arabic language course which focuses on more

advanced levels of proficiency in reading, speaking, writing, and listening.
