USG Corporation Regional Sales Manager - Gypsum (Southwest) in Texas

_POSITION SUMMARY_: Working with the VP Sales, this position drives revenue growth for Gypsum products in assigned territory (Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Wyoming, Colorado, and Utah). The incumbent will lead a team of five (5) outside sales representatives to achieve financial targets and ensure our customers outperform their competition.

_KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES_:

Strategy * Provides input to Vice President Sales on the development and maintenance of long-range operational forecasts regarding volume, market share, financial requirements, human capital needs, etc. * Implements sales strategy for assigned product(s) and territory * Determines budget and resource allocation associated with positions and activities Analysis * Responsible for monthly and quarterly analysis including topline and customer segmentation * Monitors dashboard performance and portfolio analysis Pricing & Programs * Develop, implement, and track customer sales incentive programs * Drives product specific pricing parameters to be used to drive profitability and volume Human Capital * Mentors, guides, and coaches team to expand their capabilities and perform * Coaches Dimensions of Professional Selling sales practices to drive performance of Sales Representatives * Works closely with HR team on selection, training, compensation, etc. regarding team members * Works with Sales Excellence training team to identify and meet training needs of sales professionals

_KEY QUALIFICATIONS_:

Education * Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field * Advanced degree preferred Travel Requirements * Travel time up to and over 50% servicing respective market and within the assigned region Experience * Minimum of five (5) to ten (10) years of functional experience in sales or similar functional area, including three (3) to five (5) years experience managing a team of sales representatives Required Skills * High level of business, financial and strategic acumen * Ability to develop deep relationships with top customers in territory * Able to translate strategy into action * Able to collaborate with sales managers in other division to achieve shared success * Strong balance of intellectual and emotional intelligence * Willing and able to recommend risks that will grow the business and create value for the customer * Comfortable dealing with and directing change * Able to coach, develop, and motivate others * Ability to create focus around priorities * Strong presentation and communication skills at all levels of the organization * Proven negotiating and conflict resolution skills * Self-motivated with a focus on working to and exceeding targets. * Excellent project management and problem-solving skills to effectively maintain/increase USG 's market position Preferred Skills * Salesforce.com power user preferred /EOE including disability/veteran/
