Description

  • This position is Mid-level leadership position in the Supply chain / Logistics function.

  • The incumbent has to lead and guide 3-5 Logistics planning engineers, Packing engineers, NPI coordinators.

  • Should be able to Develops, implements and supports processes and practices for ensuring a plan for every part and appropriate and timely stock levels of materials, components and equipment needed to manufacture and deliver products, supporting one or more large facilities.

  • Developing and continuously improving the accuracy of logistical needs, including warehouse capacity, equipment needs and resource needs.

  • Setting up, maintaining, and monitoring logistical processes and dependencies.

  • Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

  • Communicates well downward, upward, and outward.

  • Employs appropriate methods of persuasion when soliciting agreement.

  • Knowledge of processes and methods of inventory management; ability to effectively manage local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods.

  • Knowledge of the philosophy, principles and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes focusing space and resource optimization.

  • Demonstrated ability on New WH design, Material storage solutions, Material presentation to Assembly line, Effective and efficient packing solutions and

  • Material movement techniques are very critical to this position.

  • Knowledge of processes of Kitting presentation for Assembly line.

  • Knowledge of processes of process Optimization and Automation techniques in Logistics operation

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering from a reputed college/university

  • At least 12 - 15 years of relevant experience

  • 3 - 5 years of supervisory experience

Top Candidates will also have

  • Lean, 6 Sigma, Project management
