Emerson Strategic Procurement Leader in Tianjin, China

Job Summary

Represent the China region and fully participate with the ACT Global Supply Chain Team in supplier selection and cost management, develop and evaluate Business Proposals specifically cost containment actions or new product supply network design, Request for Quotations, Supplier Risk Assessments and make recommendations regarding material sourcing options for the division, MIN data integrity and REACH compliance.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Lead and manage procurement strategies and processes to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performances

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine product specifications and ensure flawless and timely execution

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the availability of materials and services, and internal interested parties to achieve high level of collaboration

• Demonstrate high standard of integrity and professionalism in dealing with internal and external interested parties.

• Implement and manage procurement systems and tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency

• Proactively identify cost-saving opportunities and implement initiatives to achieve savings targets, and mitigate if any risk in cost increases

• Demonstrate motivation and leadership skills in developing, coaching and guiding team members

• Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and negotiate cost, contracts, and other technical and/or commercial matters

• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality, delivery standards, and other metrics as decided

• Stay informed about the latest developments in the industry to consistently enhance procurement strategies and risk mitigate as much as possible

• Proactively leading the supply chain network design and its establishment in supporting new product / product transfer in the region

• Taking the ownership of formulating, managing, reporting of budget (CAPEX & OPEX) and execute per plan, adjust, and report whenever required.

• Actively participate in Global and Regional Category Management, may be assigned as lead or member under specific categories.

• Additional responsibilities may be intermittently assigned by the company, management, or department.

Who You Are:

You are a fast learner, executing quickly on day-to-day activities by collaborating with team members, peers, supervisor and other functional associated. At the same time, you explore new way of problem solving, continuous improvement on process, and motivating team, effectively and strategically. You are diligently identifying risk and resourceful in mitigating and/or avoiding such risk. You are excellence in communicating including effective listening, capable to deliver your thought process, and easily understood.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering

• Proven experience in strategic procurement, preferably in a similar industry, with at least 4 years' in strategic procurement, sourcing, and/or supply chain

• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficient in using procurement software and tools

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and travel up to 50% when required

• Understanding of material planning process, warehouse process, and logistic terms

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience, in technical background\Proven experience in strategic procurement or supply chain, with at least 6 years' in strategic procurement, sourcing, and/or supply chain
