Description

Robert Half Talent Solutions has partnered with an expanding manufacturing organization in Toledo as they look to add an experienced Plant Accountant to their team. As the successful candidate, you will:

• Perform analysis of key business data and drivers, presenting findings and providing recommendations.

• Perform month/quarter/year end close

• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and multi-year forecast in coordination with the CFO and executive leadership.

• Manage indirect costs, expense allocations, and monthly variance reporting.

• Oversee inventory valuation and assist in margin analysis.

• Conduct variance analysis, including Purchase Price to Cost variance and Invoice to PO price variances.

• Act as the finance lead for periodic physical inventory and monthly cycle counts, ensuring accurate financial reporting implications.

• Consolidate and analyze financial data from various sources, creating comprehensive reports, and offering actionable recommendations.

• Ensure audit and tax compliance, manage internal controls, and oversee the external audit process, liaising with auditors and 3rd party tax accountants.

• Assist with special projects and research projects as assigned by the CFO.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will likely possess:

• 3+ years' month end close experience in a manufacturing environment

• The ability to handle a broad scope of responsibilities (from AP through close)

• A desire and ability to work autonomously

• A demonstrated history of adapting to new technology & increasing efficiencies

• A Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance
