myPTsolutions Speech Language Pathologist in Wayne, Michigan

Are you a licensed speech language pathologist looking for a flexible work schedule and the opportunity to maximize your pay? If so, myPTsolutions is seeking a licensed SLP for a 14-week travel assignment. You will treat patients in a hospital and must have MBS experience. The shift is great and gives you more time at and end of your day by working 8:30 am - 3:00 pm, plus one weekend day each month. Our client is a 99-bed, full-service acute care center and the only one in the Wayne, Westland, Garden City, Canton, Inkster and Romulus area.

Qualifications

  • Required Master's Degree
  • Experience in adult/children neurological speech and language disorders, evaluation and treatment, including aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, dysphagia, laryngectomy, stuttering, and voice disorders. Required
  • Experience with head and neck cancer, tracheostomies, cognition, TBI, dementia, and modified barium swallow studies. Required
  • CRT-Clinical Competency in Audiology Certification (CCC-A) - ASHA
  • CRT-Speech Language Pathologist - ASHA

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: $45 to $50 per hour, based on experience, benefit level and traveler status.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and assess your patients to establish functional, measurable goals that promote restoration of functional abilities.
  • Advise and consult with the family and/or other caregivers as indicated to promote the client's level of progress toward mutually agreed upon goals and plan for discharge.
  • Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Work collaboratively with professionals from other disciplines.
