Vacancy: Strategic Procurement Business Partner

Location: West Deptford, West Whiteland – frequent onsite availability & occasional global travel (once/twice a year)

As a Strategic Procurement Business Partner , you will lead execution and delivery of mid – long term functional strategy and relevant procurement activities within your business unit & region through local and / or global teams, as well as outsourced BPO procurement organisation.

You will be accountable for guaranteeing adherence with global JM policies, procedures, and category strategies, representing stakeholders' needs. A core part of your role will be to ensure compliance to the deployed Procurement operating model, help to drive drive clarity of responsibilities, lead collaboration and alignment between global, GBS, and site teams. You will have the opportunity to champion process excellence and drive continuous improvement within the functional operating model.

Your responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary point of contact for local stakeholders, including leadership teams.

  • Shape and influence local demand for improved spend efficiency and category effectiveness.

  • Execute and deliver local saving plans for assigned territory.

  • Represent local requirements to procurement category management teams.

  • Develop local communication on procurement projects, policies, and strategies.

  • Lead delivery of key local strategic initiatives.

  • Interface with process owners for end-to-end services provided by GBS procurement.

  • Act as liaison between site(s), suppliers, and procurement category/supplier managers.

  • Proactively form relationships with Procurement counterparts in other JM businesses.

  • Drive and own implementation of continuous improvement procurement initiatives at site level.

  • Additional duties may be required to support the goals and objectives of the position.

Requirements for the role:

  • Proven experience in managing procurement processes (sourcing, supplier management, stakeholder engagement).

  • Knowledge of procurement best practices for optimal service delivery.

  • Experience in similar industries with global complexity and operating models including GBS.

  • Demonstrated skills in project management, budget influencing, and leading collaboration for supplier ecosystem optimization.

  • Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.

  • Great stakeholder management skills, with experience in manufacturing environments and ability to lead diverse teams efficiently.

  • Trustworthy and self-motivated with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong organization and time management skills, with willingness to travel globally and adapt to changing role requirements.

  • Full proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and understanding of ERP systems (for example SAP and MS Dynamics).

  • Strong English skills (spoken and written).

  • Some extended hours/flexibility may be required to support working with teams based in different JM locations globally.

The role profile may be subject to change by Group Chief Procurement Officer aligned to growing maturity of JM procurement operating model.
