Read more at www.dsv.com Location: USA - New Albany, Innovation Campus Way West Division:Air & Sea Job Posting Title: Manager, Air Export & Import Time Type: Full Time Summary An Air Import/Export Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the export/importation of goods by air, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of cargo, and maintaining strong relationships with customers and vendors. This role requires excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as a deep understanding of logistics and supply chain management. Duties and Responsibilities Manage and oversee the importation of goods by air, including carrier selection, booking, and movement of goods through various transportation channels Oversee the air export process, including preparation of shipping documents, customs clearance, and booking with air carriers Coordinate with freight forwarders, airlines, customs brokers, and other service providers to ensure efficient and timely delivery of cargo Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including customs regulations and trade laws Develop and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and other third-party service providers to ensure efficient and effective delivery of cargo Collaborate with other internal departments, such as logistics, finance, and operations, to ensure timely and efficient service delivery Monitor and report on key performance indicators, such as cargo delivery times, costs, and quality Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and quality of service delivery Identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs, improve service quality, and enhance customer satisfaction Educational background / Work experience A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is required At least 5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is required Prior experience in air imports and supervisory experience is highly desirable Excellent leadership and communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management principles Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment Supervisory Responsibilities (if any) This role typically involves supervising a team of import coordinators and other support staff Language skills Fluency in English is required Knowledge of additional languages is a plus Computer Literacy Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Experience with logistics software and systems is required For this position, the expected base pay is:$66,500-$100,500 / Annual.Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
