Day to Day:

Insight Global is looking for a Remote Senior Substation Engineer for one of our engineering clients. The Senior Substation Engineer serves as a technical specialist but may also be asked to participate in some management responsibilities. This person will help with proposal development and project documentation including estimating engineering manhours/construction costs estimates for the scope of work. This person will act as a senior engineer of the department. Responsible for technical development in the electrical engineering discipline.

Skills and Requirements

MUST HAVES:

* Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

* 8+ years of previous consulting or substation engineering/design experience

* Ability to create One-Line Diagram, Three-line Diagrams, Electrical Yard, Grounding & Conduit Layouts, and Protection & Control Diagrams for High Voltage Substations.

* Substation/utilities design and drawings experience.

* Knowledge of applicable building codes and National Electrical Code & National Electrical Safety Code

* Proficient in the use of computer for design and understand CAD operations.

* Professional Engineer License. null
