The Department of Mental Health, Central Mass Area Quality Management Department in Worcester is seeking an eager and dynamic intern for the summer. The Quality Management Department ensures that the Area’s DMH services meet the Commonwealth’s standards for care as identified in policies, procedures, regulations, and community provider contracts. It maintains departmental documentation of dispositions on all Critical incident Reports (CIRs), Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPCs), Complaints, Decision Letters and Appeals. The department monitors Provider contractual guidelines, analyzes data related to service provision standards and plan quality improvements as indicated. The Intern will be responsible for assisting the staff with general departmental duties including, but not limited to, research, data entry, filing and generalcoordination. Intern Duties and Responsibilities * Assist with maintenance and organization of Quality Mgt. records * Assist with Quality Mgt. tasks and/or projects as they arise * Assist with data analysis regarding service provision * Fulfilling tasks as assigned Intern Preferred Skills and Qualifications * General computer skills including Microsoft Office and ability to navigate of computer systems and email software * Interpersonal / Soft Skills * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Organization * Self-motivated Learning Objectives Throughout the duration of the internship, the intern will learn:* * The agency mission and values * Quality Management roles, tasks and processes * Identify and define the common agency terminology *_Period of Service:_ May 28, 2024 through August 30, 2024 _Additional Information:_ Benefits are unavailable with the exception of sick leave accruals. All employees will be paid on a biweekly basis and must have direct deposit. The salary for this position is$18.00an hour.
