Materials Flow Supervisor - 3rd Shift ( 8:00pm – 6:20am)

We are looking for a talented Materials Flow Supervisor - 3rd Shift to join our team specializing in Supply Chain Planning for our Components Business Segment team in York, SC.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Oversees the warehouse, Deliver Supplier Improvement Process initiative to improve performance metrics.

  • Documents, communicates, and follows-up on action items impacting the ability to execute the plan.

  • Collaborates with Supply Chain Planners across the organization to reposition excess inventory to locations with supporting demand.

  • Supports continuous improvement activities to improve quality, safety, process, and employee development.

  • Under general supervision, determines the quantity and order date for materials needed to meet the master production schedule or independent customer demand.

  • Instructs and coaches others acting as an informal resource for team members with less capability.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Materials KPI Management - Operates in relation to recent or historical outputs as compared to expectations of the organization to determine next steps to drive improvement; assesses gaps to the supply chain performance against the expectation of achieving target deliverables; interprets KPIs to understand end-customer impact; strategically balances trade-offs to influence one KPI while minimizing the impact to others.

  • Materials Master Data Management - Determines the source of master data (bill-of-material, disposition code, planner code, etc.) ensuring changes are updated at the origin rather than downstream system(s); tracks, monitors, and improves the quality of master data feeding into the demand and supply plan.

  • Risk Assessment - Evaluates hazards within the work environment by applying hazard identification and risk assessment techniques to analyze and prioritize risk, enabling a selection of control measures that reduce risk as low as reasonably practicable.

  • Communicates effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

  • Forklift certification is required.

  • Ability to drive a reach truck.

  • 3 years of material handling experience.

  • Knowledge of material flow

  • Great communication skills

  • Must be a quick learner and able to collaborate with others.

  • Familiarity with quality and time.

  • Manufacturing experience required.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft office suite.

  • Knowledge of material flows

  • Problem solving.

  • Readiness to adhere to safety requirements.

  • Familiarity with hand tools and fasteners

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
